Essential Job responsibilities:
• Clean area to receive henna tattoo using germicidal soap.
• Presses Henna Cones or Henna Stencils draw design, or traces the pattern of a design onto the skin of the client, to mark the outline of the design.
• Applies sterile dressing to the area.
• Sterilizer henna tattoo kit in steam-heated cabinet sterilizer.
• May draw original designs on paper, trace designs onto acetate sheet and cut out design to form pattern or stencil, using stylus knife
•Have a great work ethic
• Comfortable in all levels of henna design, training possible if basics are good
• Professional with a great personality and a people person
• Minimum of 1-year experience in the same role.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £30,960.00 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
•Consult with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.
•Design and apply henna patterns on clients’ skin, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
•Mix henna paste and prepare application cones or tools as needed.
•Stay updated with the latest henna design trends and techniques.
•Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
•Educate clients on aftercare to ensure the longevity and quality of the henna stain.
•Manage appointments and maintain records of client preferences and designs.
•Promote henna services through social media, events, and other marketing channels.
Qualifications:
•Proven experience as a henna artist with a strong portfolio of previous work.
•Artistic ability and creativity in designing intricate and varied henna patterns.
•Knowledge of traditional and contemporary henna designs and techniques.
•Ability to work with a variety of clients, including those with sensitive skin.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Attention to detail and precision in applying henna.
•Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and during peak event seasons.
Desirable Skills:
•Understanding of the cultural significance of henna in various traditions.
•Basic knowledge of skin care and henna aftercare.
•Marketing and promotional skills to attract new clients.
•Ability to teach henna application techniques to others.
Work Environment: The role may involve travel to clients’ locations or event venues.
